DetailEPA Region 6 issued final Class VI permits to Oxy Low Carbon Ventures (Occidental Petroleum subsidiary) for three CO2 injection wells in Texas. Wells will inject CO2 more than 4,000 feet underground. CO2 sourced from Stratos direct air capture facility in Permian Basin, on track to start up in 2025. These are the first permits in Texas for dedicated carbon storage.
