Beta terms

Carbon Curve Intelligence is a research service operated by Na’im Merchant as a project of The Carbon Curve. These terms explain how you may use it. Contact naim.merchant@gmail.com with questions about these terms or your account.

The beta

The database is free to browse. During the beta, accounts also receive access to Ask, dossiers, watches, exports and the plugin. Features, coverage and availability may change as we improve the service. Creating an account does not authorize a payment. If paid plans are introduced, their price and conditions will be shown before you choose to buy one.

Using the research

CCI organizes information from identified sources and uses automated systems to discover and process it. Ask uses both CCI records and web research. Records and answers may contain errors, omissions, delays or incomplete information. Check the original sources before relying on a result for an important decision. CCI does not certify a project, credit, transaction or scientific claim, and does not provide professional advice.

You may use the service for your research and analysis, including professional work. Keep the source attribution and dates when sharing results. Access to a record, export or plugin does not transfer copyright in the underlying publications or grant permission to republish restricted source material. Follow the conditions shown for each source and obtain any additional permission you need from its owner.

Your account and material

Keep sign-in links and connector keys private. You are responsible for the activity you authorize through your account. Contact us if a key or sign-in link is exposed. Do not bypass access controls or usage limits, disrupt the service, or use it unlawfully.

You retain ownership of the questions, notes and other material you submit. You allow us and the service providers described in the Privacy notice to process that material to operate the features you use. Only submit material you are entitled to share with those services. Connecting the plugin to an outside assistant also involves that assistant’s own terms and privacy practices.

Leaving, corrections and changes

You can remove saved records, notes and watches using the product’s controls, unsubscribe from optional emails, or request account deletion by email. Report record errors through Feedback or the correction link on a record. We may restrict access to protect the service from abuse or unauthorized use. Contact us if you think a restriction is mistaken.

We will date revisions to these terms and bring material changes affecting accounts to members’ attention. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law gives you.
